Classic Knife Design By Robert N. Parker .
CUSTOM KNIVES
hunters
I make several styles of hunting knives with different types of steels and handle material, Like a Drop point hunter or a semi Skinner. With a standard length blade from 3-1/4 to 4 in. and Micarta for the handle and a leather sheath, Cost around $800.00 dollars. Stag add another $175.00. Most stabilized wood cost a extra $125.00. Layered abalone or pearl will cost an extra $500.00 Dollars. My basic steel is called CPM-154 It is a powered steel that hold's a real good edge, and polishes out like a mirror. The blades are all heat treated at Paul Bos heat treat in Idaho. The blades are hardened at 1975 degrees with a soak time of 40 min. quenched in argon then froze at 220 Degrees for 6 to 8 hours double tempered at 950 degrees and for 2 hours
each temper final hardness of 59 60 R.C.
My sheath's are hand cut and hand stitched from 8-9 oz Vegetable tanned cow hide, A good heavy quality sheath, Boot clip or belt loop. I personally make all of my knives and sheaths and guarantee the craftsmanship.
